Online Industrial Auctions
That Maximize Recovery

Structured online auctions for real estate, machinery, equipment, and other industrial assets, designed to maximize recovery while meeting bank standards for transparency and documentation.

Why Dobbins Uses Online-Only Auctions

Online auctions have become the most effective way to liquidate industrial assets. By moving the process to a digital platform, lenders gain broader market reach, better documentation, and more predictable timelines than traditional public outcry auctions.

Broader Reach & Stronger Results

Online auctions attract a larger, more qualified pool of bidders, increasing competition and driving asset values higher.

Efficient and Transparent

Digital bidding streamlines the process, providing real-time visibility into activity and ensuring clear documentation for every transaction.

Trusted Financial Stewardship

With decades of proven experience and a reputation for integrity, The Dobbins Company ensures every dollar is handled with professionalism and accountability.

Auction Process

A Process Built for Transparency and Control

Secure Assets

Dobbins begins by confirming control of the site and assets, working with legal counsel and the lender to ensure access, and security. The operation MUST be closed with no continuing business activity before the auction set-up can commence.

Prepare & Setup

We create a detailed inventory, assign lot numbers, photograph equipment, and gather key specifications. In parallel, we coordinate with our auction partner on marketing, terms of sale, and the auction schedule.

Inspection Day

We set up a day and time where interested bidders can physically inspect the equipment. This is normally the day before Auction day.

Auction Day

Bidders participate online within a defined bidding window. We monitor activity, address bidder questions, and ensure that all terms and conditions are followed throughout the event. No inspection is allowed during auction day. We can normally report “ballpark” results to the lender later in the day.

Check-Out & Removal

The next day, after the auction closes and payments are received, we manage buyer check-out, coordinate load-out logistics, and oversee removal to protect the site and remaining assets.

Final Settlement

Once all funds are collected and expenses are reconciled, Dobbins prepares a detailed settlement statement and remits proceeds to the lender, providing clear documentation for internal records, auditors, and regulators. This is normally done 7-10 days after Auction Day.

When an Auction Is the Best Approach?

  • You have hundreds or thousands of individual items or machinery.
  • You have tight timelines for asset removal or liquidation.
  • You have assets with broad resale markets and diverse buyers.
  • Lenders require full visibility and accountability in the sale process.
